With the ever-growing population, both of the university and of the dwelling units around it, alternate transportation can become a valuable aid in traffic congestion created by commuters.
1.07.04-Cats Neighborhood Shuttle - Route 249. Beginning on February 2, 2004, the Charlotte Area Transit System began service of a new route designed to pick up students from major area apartment complexes and drop them off at either the University or one of three major shopping centers.
