As of last semester, enrollment at UNC Charlotte was more than 19,000 students. With enrollment on campus rising, student population adjacent to campus also rises. Currently sidewalks are very limited on University City Blvd. and Mallard Creek Church Rd, ironically, the same roadways that the majority of walking commuters live. Crossing these roads is becomming more dangerous each year and action must be taken now.
